As you may know I’m not near the 100 yet and this morning I decided I’m not going to get there. I could do it theoretically, but that would mean I would pretty much be watching movies non stop until new year’s eve.

I would have no objection to that if it weren’t for the fact that I just plainly wasn’t enjoying the movies I was watching anymore. I had the film Beginners on and was on Tumblr in split screen and I was an hour in when I realised that normally I would have really really enjoyed the movie with my full attention. Now I could only vaguely summarise what had happened. Watching was a chore and that was never the purpose of this challenge. 

The challenge was to encourage myself to go and watch more film, and the sole requirement was that it had to be something I’ve never seen before. I was stuck in a rut watching the same movies over and over again. I think that even though I haven’t reached a hundred movies, I’ve still accomplished my goals as I did watch about 90 movies I haven’t seen before. (I think that if I had counted the movies I have seen before I’d be over a hundred, by the way.) I have really really enjoyed it and a couple of weeks ago I already decided I’m gonna challenge myself again for 2013, but in a slightly different form. 

I am not closing the list yet, as I might watch another movie before the end of 2012. You can expect a masterpost on December 31st or January 1st! I’ll also announce the new 2013 project, and it’d be lovely if you want to join :D
